Mosaic Madness

I spend Mother’s Day in my stamp room. Mostly cleaning out my old stamp stuff. I’m going to have a big yard sale table at my Open House in a couple of weeks so hope you can make it!

I’m doing a few swaps at convention in a few months and I think I found my 3 x 3 love notes swap card. I still might do something different, but I really like how this one came out.

New Gift Idea

Here’s a great new gift idea. It was my sister’s birthday and I wanted to give her some cards. She has her own business but I didn’t want to have them just for business so I came up with this idea.

I did this card a couple of months ago. It’s made with SAB paper and stamp set. I made a matching bag to put the cards in. But, if you look closely, there’s the large oval on the front of the cards with no verses. I punched a bunch of different verses for her and put them in one of the pocket envelope. I also included a strip of glue dots (put in another nice pocket). She ordered 5 of them from me for Christmas presents for her friends! I knew she would love them!

The Big XL Pocket Envelope die is only available until May 30th so if you are thinking of making these for gifts, get the die before they are gone!

Father’s Day Card

I realized that I didn’t have a Father’s Day/Masculine card class lined up before June! I’ve decided to swap out the “Bridal Shower” card on May 3rd for these style cards. We will be making only 1 with the button (because I only have 6 buttons) and the other two cards can be done with the twill ribbon or hemp.

There are only 6 slots for it so sign up if you want to do it!

Boston Marathon Bombings

This is a difficult post for me. For all my blog readers who don’t know, I live in the Boston area. Patriots’ Day is a big deal in our great city and lots of my friends and family attend events or run the Marathon.

The above link is graphic, but it is a picture of my niece’s best friend, Sydney Corcoran. Sidney and her mom were badly injured on Monday. Her mom lost both her legs below the knees and Sydney almost bled out at the scene, but thanks to total strangers, she is alive, but still in the hospital with serious injuries. Both her and her mom have a long difficult road ahead of them.

I feel totally helpless but wanting to do something. I thought I would reach out to my stampin’ family and ask for help. If you would like to send them a handmade get well/thinking of you card, it might brighten their day in some small way.

You can send your cards to the address below, and I will deliver them unopened to my niece so she can get them to Sydney and her mom.
