Ok, two posts tonight!
These are the cutest, easiest things to make. The hardest part is getting the 5″ x 8″ note pads cut correctly at my local office supply store! What an ordeal THAT was! You want buy a package of 12 of the 5 x 8 small note pads. Have have them make 2 cuts to make 2 – 8″ x 2″ pads like these below. Make sure they cut from the right side so you don’t end up with the red line down the front. They should charge you about $2.00 per through a stack of them.
One other issue I had with the office supply place is that they told me “my” pads had staples in them and it broke the blade. The pads were “their” pads I purchased from them! Couldn’t they see the staples???? NO! What a fiasco that was. Time to change where I get my pads cut!!!
Let’s just look at these cute things! I put magnets on the back so they can be put on the fridge. Great craft fair items!!!
Look for these in an upcoming class in September as well!

Lovin’ your Halloween note pads! I’m so in the mood for some fall crafts and weather!
I made a bunch of these pads for Christmas last year…the most difficult part of the whole project was getting the pads cut!
Goodness Gracious!
I bought the pads from the same store where I asked them to be cut. The girl claimed she could make the cuts…but…when she was done…I had a bag full of a crooked HOT MESS!
I learned that the only office supply store in town (which happens to rhyme with Office Jacks) didn’t have a laser cutter…thus the crookedness of the pads. In their defense…the store manager gave me a new 12 pack of pads and sent me to the next closest store 25 miles away.
That store could cut the pads no problem…but they wanted to cut one pad at a time. Yikes! At $1 per cut…2 cuts per pad…that was gonna cost me 24 clams! I begged and pleaded…and assured the girl I was sure her fancy machine would cut more than one pad at a time. Sure enough…she could cut 4 pads at a time. Still…that’s a lot of money to invest in cutting some paper.
What we won’t do to get our craft on!
