Happy Birthday

Pinterest is my new big thing lately.  It’s so easy to just pin card samples from the net that I love. I saw this card by Heidi Boss that   was pinned by Nancy Riley (which I follow her blog as well) and thought it was such a great quick and easy generic card. Check out Pinterest, you’ll love it too!

I know it’s early, but I’m doing a craft show in March and I’m thinking about a cute little Easter treat I can have at the fair. These are super easy little candy holders. They are made out of 3 x 3 envelopes! Use your oval punches, a few circle punches and a puffy nose and you are good to go!

Great Card for Teenager

Had to back off the Valentine’s cards for a bit. I start to get a little loopy if I keep doing the same stuff all the time!

For this card, I was inspired by Stampin’ Anne’s design here. I added some glitter on the back ground, but it still can be used for a boy teen as well.  I have a few family members who play guitar so this card won’t be around my stash too long! As you can see, they are slightly different from each other as well. The stamp sets I used were Grunge Rock and Extreme Elements. The card stock is Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight, DSP is Big Top Birthday.

Open House Postponed

Due to the impending snow storm set for my area on Saturday – predicting 6 inches of snow – I’m postponing my Open House until next Saturday, January 28th from 1:00 – 4:00.

Bordering on Romance

This is a very simple card. Very easy to do. The set is Bordering on Romance from the new Occasions Mini.  I used two of the other accessories from the mini as well to do the border, but I don’t have the mini with me and downloading the catalog will take too long on this connection.  I did cut out the flowers and pop them up to give it a great affect.

Hello from Disney!

We got to Disney relatively easily yesterday. The weather is PERFECT!   We are here celebrating my 2nd 25th birthday! LOL!

I did download a few pic’s to post while I’m away so here’s another goodie that’s going to be for sale at my Open House next week. They are cute little pillow boxes filled with chocolate. I got the clear boxes from a box vendor. The paper is SU’s DSP Love Impressions. You can still purchase from Stampin’ Up!’s clearance rack. It’s the only Valentine’s paper that’s available right now so if you need to do some Valentine’s crafts, better go get some. I used the PS I love you stamp set from the Occasions Mini and the punch is our Triple Hear Punch.

Valentine’s Day Pig

One of my team members is starting a new blog – as soon as she has it up, I’ll add it to my blog roll – but she made a comment that she doesn’t have a lot of original designs. I said “most of my designs are CASED to a certain point”.  I told her, IT’S OK TO COPY SOMEONE, or better, be “inspired” by other peoples’ work.  It’s the best form of flattery!!!  Just as long as you give credit where credit is due.

Ok, to MY next CASE – sound like I’m a lawyer, LOL!  I saw this card by Mafer’s blog and immediately thought of the pig from Button Buddies. Simple to make and so cute. I didn’t put the button on the nose because it really didn’t add anything to it. The verse is from the new set, PS. I Love you.  Enjoy!

Apothecary Art

I’m really not into the fru-fru vintage look that’s hot now, but for some reason, I love the new Apothecary Art stamp set! I guess I should branch out a little bit too.

I used the new Framelets Labels Collection from the Occasions Mini. One of my team members asked if it was easier to die cut the paper then stamp or stamp and place the Framelet over the stamped image. Well, it was super easy to stamp first, then place it through the Big Shot.  This whole card was a lot easier than it looks.  The DSP is also from the Occasions mini, it’s Twitterpated. The card stock is Pear Pizzazz & Blushing Bride. The inks I used were Old Olive for the stamped image, then I colored in the flowers with the Blushing Bride marker.  The little flowers are from the trio punch set in the catalog. I was glad to use it because I hadn’t had a chance to use that one from the set yet.

Cute Monster Card

Blog hopping around the internet, I found this adorable monster card. I have it up on my Pin Board on Pinterest. I found it on Stampin’ Up!’s Stampin Connection.  I don’t think non-demos can access it, but you can still see it on my pin boards. It was designed by another SU demo, Marilyn Goodrich. I don’t have her blog address, sorry!

I did change it a bit. When the Clearance rack on SU had the old Celebrations DSP, I bought 10 packs of it! That was such a great design. I do miss some old papers! Oh, and can you guess how the monster is made???  Again, the owl punch!

Enjoy!

More Fresh Vintage

Fresh Vintage is really growing on me. I saw this card from Artistic Avenger and had to CASE it.  It is simple, yet elegant. I just changed the color combo and verse. Not much I could do to make it better because it was so beautiful to begin with.  She does awesome work. Again, I used the Poppy Parade and Calypso Coral combo.
