Newsprint

At my last class, I showed my customers the Newsprint DSP that is in the Occasions Mini. You get 24 sheets of it which is a lot, so I thought I ‘d better start using it! Again, I did two versions of this card. Love them both!! I put Dazzling Diamonds on the card, but it doesn’t show up in the picture. It really adds a lot to it. I put DD on as many projects as possible, but not a lot of it. I feel DD should be used as an accent not to overpower a card.

Birthday Wishes

I made two versions of this card.  I had to make a bunch of birthday cards for a customer and this was very easy and quick to do.  I like the one with the butterfly the best.  Look for it in an upcoming class.

Shadow Box Club

Ok, so last night I had a class and showed everyone in person the Valentine Shadow Box I made. It really looks so much better in person I have to tell you.  Of course, they want me to do a class on it, but it’s way too close to Valentine’s day to do.

But I did have an idea……. to do a Club for this!!  This is how it will work:

The club will meet once every 3 months.  On that night, you will make 3 panels to go in a 6 X 8 shadow box. If you can’t come to the class or are one of my Long Distance customers, not to worry, I will mail the projects to you!

The three panels we will be doing will be the next 3 months in the quarter. For instance. In February, we will do a panel for March, April & May.  In May, we will do June, July & Aug. In August, we will do Sept, Oct & Nov. In December, we will do Dec, Jan & Feb.

This way, you will be done for the year and give it as a Christmas gift! Better yet, sign up for two clubs, keep one for you, give one away!

You will supply your own 6 X 8 shadowbox.  The projects will fit in any 6 & 8.  I will supply the rest!

Cost per quarterly class will be $10.00 for one 3 panels. Long Distance customers will be $11.50.

Contact me if you are interested in signing up!

I saw this on Nancy Riley’s site and just HAD to copy it!!!  It really didn’t take me very long to do either, two hours total. To recreate it will be a synch now! But, I only need one since I am going to give this to my hubby for Valentine’s Day. He never reads my blog so I’m safe on posting it here 🙂 Don’t go telling him!!!!  I thought this would be better than a card. He’s been working really hard lately and deserves something special. It’s a shadow box frame I had left over from a few years ago that I bought from a local craft store.

I won’t be doing a project sheet on this, but it was easy to do. The squares are 1 3/4″ and the mats are 1 5/8″.  All the products are Stampin’ Up! products except the verse. I printed that on the computer 🙂

Girl Scout Card #2

This is the second card I will be doing with the girl scout troop on Feb 17th.  Two of the sets are retired, Just Soccer & Happy Birthday, but I loved them too much to get rid of them. Especially the Happy Birthday one. That’s a great verse that you don’t need to use the stamp-a-ma-jig with!  I think the girls will like this one!

Teen Guitar

I have a customers who buys about 10 cards a month from me. She has a lot of family!!!  Well, I gave a lot of my “stash” of cards out for Christmas and she put in an order last night. I have some MAJOR stamping to do to catch up!  And I can’t give her designs I’ve done before!

This card is great for a teen girl. I’m doing a class for a Girl Scout Troop and thought the girls will like this as one of the cards.  Hey, it may show up in a class for adults too!

Bring on the cake!!!

This card took me all night to make!  I was inspired by this card from Artistic Avenger.  She does AWESOME work as I CASE her quite often! This is a card that you don’t want to mail because it’s very bulky, but it came out great!!

Look for it in an upcoming card workshop in Feb! Oh, and my husband is going to get me a new light bulb for my light box. He cringed when he saw the lighting on this card. I was worried he didn’t like the card!!!

Not stamping now….

because we are in Disney!!!!!  We like to come for a long weekend in January to get away from the New England weather.  We just got out in time too, Wed we got 2 feet of snow!! Do you think it will be gone by the time we get home???  LOL probably not!!!

Here’s some pictures of our view from our room. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom.  I’m taking pictures this trip so I can do a small scrap book in My Digital Studio.  I’ve neglected my scrapbooks over the years, so MDS will kick me back in the swing of things!
