I love the new DSP Big Top Birthday. I was inspired by this card by Margaret Moody- At first, I couldn’t figure out how she got her “muscle man” so big, then I realized that she didn’t use the stamp. I actually didn’t cut him out like she did. These 3 cards were so quick. I bought 3 packs of this paper so there’ll be a lot of these at my craft fairs!
Archive for September, 2011
Some people have been getting blank emails from my updates to my posts. It’s a WordPress issue and they are working on the problem, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
One of my customers turned me on to these a while ago. Kerry’s Craft Blog is a great place to get some great ideas. She’s such a great designer. I CASE her quite a bit! She makes these for craft shows. She’s not doing many craft shows because she just had her first baby (you’ll see lots of adorable pictures of her baby on her blog).
These make great teacher gifts!
Designing the November panel was quite a challenge. As much as I love fall colors, it was hard to do a 3rd panel in fall colors. It actually turned out a lot better than I thought it would. Don’t you just love the turkey?? This class is closed but you can find the dimension for the pieces under the Aug & September links in the Shadow Box catagory.
Yes, I am giving away a Big Shot!!! It won’t be given away until my annual Open House in June, but here is how you can win!

– Club sales DO count toward the entries.
– One lucky winner will be drawn LIVE at my Open House which will be held towards the end of June 2012.
– Prior to the drawing, I will inform all contestants how many entries they have in the contest. You DO NOT have to be present to win 🙂 especially my long distance customers!!!
– GOOD LUCK!!!!
This is not a contest through Stampin’ Up!, nor Sizzix, it is strictly through Michelle Surette, Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
I saw a Halloween Banner on this site thru Paper Punch Addition.
I thought it was so cute so I had to copy it! I’m going to use this for a decoration in my upcoming craft shows.
The banner is made with the Perfect Pennant Bigz L die. To get the matted colors, just use the Perfect Pennant big triangle and o cut off 1/4″ of one of the long sides.
The ghosts are punched from the Owl punch and so is the vampire.
He was a little tricky. But he’s all Owl punch pieces pieced together. His mouth is from Make a Monster.
The Tombstone is the small tag punch. I made the grass from a scrap of Old Olive cut with scissors.
The pumpkin is just 3 ovals glued together.
I’ve been in my stamp room for over 3 hours tonight trying to think up the last card for tomorrow nights class. After 3 ugly cards, I went to Stampin’ Pretty and was inspired by this card. I try to think up cards myself, but I need inspiration.
This is the third project for tomorrow night. Talk about last minute!!!
My blog stat counter shows me where people come from when they hit my blog. I saw a bunch of links from this blog so I went and see why. She CASED one of my cards (which I cased from someone else). I really liked what she did so I RECASED it!!!
It’s slightly different from my original card, but it’s just as cute!
I saw this project on Linda’s Stampin’ Loft – I just had to copy it! The cat was a bit tough to do so I just changed it around a little. It’s a larger “matchbook” – you can put a small thing of M & M’s in here. I don’t have any candy to put in here, but Linda shows a good shot of it.
I decided to change out one of the projects we will be doing this Friday for this one. I still have some room left in Friday’s class so check out the workshops and contact me if want to join us!
I’m doing an adult beginner class this Sunday. I still have a few spaces available. It’s FREE to all new customers who have not attended one of my workshops before. Contact me if you want to attend.
Here is one of the projects we will be making. It really is very easy to do!
