Embellished Events

Banners are the trend these days! They really are growing on me, and they really add to a card!  I borrowed the stamp set, Embellished Events from one of my downline.

I used the cake from the set to make this bright festive birthday card.

I’m also using up the rest of my Midnight Muse paper which is being retired 😦

We get to see the new catalog on Thursday and I can’t wait to all the new stuff!

Look for this card in an upcoming class!

Zoo Babies Card-In-A-Box

A gal in one of the offices I work at had a baby boy last week. I wanted to make a special card for the rest of the office to sign.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE making baby things, be it cards, pictures or even knit items.

For this card-in-a-box, I used all the animals in the stamp set Zoo Babies.  It’s a great set for baby cards. It took me a along time to do this one. I made one out of 12 x 12 paper, but it was way too big and the animals looked lost.  The smaller version came out much better.  The coolest thing about this card is that I finally got to use the fringing scissors I bought.  I made grass using Pear Pizzaz paper to make it look like they are playing in the wild!
