Archive for the ‘Misc Cards’ Category

I have to get started on posting for upcoming classes.  I’m not traveling for a while so I have no excuses going forward!

Here is an embossed card I will be doing this  Friday night.  As usual, pictures don’t do it justice. It looks a little to green in this pic, and I think in class, we’ll be doing a little less on the top part – but I still like it. I just recycled one of my favorite layouts and I made this card in less than 1/2 hour!  A new record for me!

Enjoy!

Cards For Soldiers

A friend of mine sends cards to our troops overseas.  When I found out she did this, I decided to round up some of my stampin’ gals and make a bunch of cards for her to send. I originally going to have the girls just do what they want, but when one of them asked what we were going to do, I decided that it might be best to have some samples for them.  Otherwise, we just might chat all night and not get anything done!!

These are all flat and non-glitter.  The two things I ALWAYS do so it was quite a challenge for me to come up with something.  I copied a few ideas from all over the web so here they are.  Mary Fish was my biggest inspiration!

I’ve been trying all week to come up with what we will be making at the Open House. I’ve decided on this one. I’ll have plenty of verses to choose from so you don’t have to make it a Get Well card.

Same But Different

I did a bunch of cards that are similar, but have slight difference. I used retired DSP, Elegant Soiree. That was such beautiful paper, I really miss it!  But I did stock up a bit 🙂 I just wanted to show how you can utilize a bunch of different stamp sets you have!

Stamp set: Love & Sympathy

Stamp set: Petite silhouette

Great New Punch

I love new punches! They are pretty much the staple of my stamping room. If you are going to spend money, spend it on a punch.

In the new Occasions Mini, there’s a new flower punch called the Blossom Punch. There’s also a great stamp set that goes along with it called Mixed Bunch. Can’t go wrong when there’s a stamp to match a punch.

Sale-A-Bration Set

Sale-a-bration starts this year on January 24th. If you haven’t gotten your SAB catalog, you can check it out online via my catalogs page.  I wasn’t so thrilled with it right away, but a few things are growing on me.  This card is made with the set, Fresh Vintage.  It’s very similar to last year’s stamp set, Bliss.  I also made a card similar to this last year with Bliss.  This is the card we will be making at my Open House on the 21st.  It’s so beautiful in person!

The card stock is Poppy Parade.  There’s only 6 months left of the 2010-21012 In Colors so I better use up my stash!

Button Buddies

I dug up some old Cottage Wall paper from my stash and made this card. One of my customers wants to do this in a class so it shall be done!  We’ll be using current paper – to be determined – but it will be just as pretty!  Go to my workshops page and sign up if you want to make 3 of these!!  It’s a great design because you can just change out the verse to be just about any occasion.

Card Components:

Stamp Set: Button Buddies

Card Stock: Old Olive, Rich Razzelberry

On Monday, I will be at the Billerica Farmer’s Market with a table of all my goodies!  Summer craft fairs are tough because you don’t have any real holidays to make crafts for. I’ll have lots of cards and gifts for people so if you are around, come on down!

Here’s a quick card made with the level 2 from the summer mini, Love & Care.
